Near to the sun pyramid in Teotihuacan, there is a chamber (3x1x0.5meters ) isolated with mica.
Micas are a group of silicate minerals whose outstanding physical properties and characteristics are that individual mica crystals can easily be split into extremely thin elastic plates or sheets. These sheets are chemically inert, dielectric, elastic, flexible, hydrophilic, insulating, lightweight, platy, reflective, refractive, resilient, and range in opacity from transparent to opaque. Mica is stable when exposed to electricity, light, moisture, and extreme temperatures. It has superior electrical properties as an insulator and as a dielectric, and can support an electrostatic field while dissipating minimal energy in the form of heat.
How could the ancient culture that built Teotihuacan know of these special physical properties of mica and why did they need such a special chamber?What was its purpose? Has it something to do with the mercury which they also found here and in other central american ancient cities. A mica chamber would be the best storage place for mercury – mercury was described in old Indian Sanskrit text as one part of the “Vimana”-fuel.
