Summary Report:
The Osirion (also Osireion) in Abydos, Egypt, is a temple complex built in honor of the ancient Egyptian god Osiris. It is located southwest directly behind the mortuary temple of Sethos I. The Oririon is located 15 meters below the level of the temple of Sethos I and consists of massive granite blocks weighing up to 80 tons, comparable to the megaliths of Stonehenge in the south of England. The huge megaliths that were used to build the Osirion came from Aswan and were transported over 400 kilometers to the construction site. According to the official dating, this temple was built more than 3,000 years ago but its style and form is very different from other ancient buildings in Egypt but some researchers believe that the Osireion is much older and that it is not the work of Egyptians, but that it has been there for a since much more ancient times. Of course, the great difference between the oldest part of the building and the modern part of the building is particularly striking. The oldest part is at the bottom, and huge stone blocks were used in its construction. The more modern and younger part is located at the top, which is pretty clear evidence that there were different construction eras. Unfortunately, there is very little information about the Osireion, and it seems that some egyptologists do not want to spread the informations about the anomalies in the Osirion.
On the walls and ceiling were cosmological texts of the celestial books. It makes sense that celestial representations are found in the temple because the Osirion is associated with the god Osiris. And this god Osiris is also associated with the constellation Orion. In the Book “Neue Erkenntnisse”, Erich von Däniken writes about the god Osiris: “… Why is the site called Osirion? Because the head of the heavenly god Osiris is said to be hidden there. At least this is what the legend proclaims. Osiris is equal to Orion. From this constellation he originally came. But Osiris had an envious brother, Seth. He murdered Osiris and cut his body into 14 parts. The most important body part, the head, is said to be buried in this very Osirion. It was never found. With Osiris, one inevitably ends up with Herodotus gods, about whom the pyramid texts already report. In the tomb of Teti I – who immediately followed the celestial primeval god Menes – is written about Osiris: “Behold, Osiris comes as Orion. Heaven has received you in Orion. Born thou with Orion.” In the Pyramid Texts of Unas (2356-2323 B.C.), Osiris also “goes to the skyway.” He is a “horizon dweller who pushes off from the earth with his ship” who – as verse 303 reports – “ascends to heaven.”.
It s important to add that, on some of the pillars in the Osirion, one can find depiction of the “Flower of Life” and according to physicist Nassim Haramein, the depictions of the “Flower of Life” are not engraved, but were burned directly into the stone by a kind of laser technology. And even if a piece of the stone were cut, the drawing would still be clearly visible. However, there are no official studies to prove or disprove such a claim. In fact, it is not known when, how or who could have made such illustrations.
The Osirion is a very mysterious anomaly and many speculations exist about when, how and why it was originaly built. Much more research needs to be done before we can solve the enigmas of the Osirion.
