Summary Report:

Buritaca-200 (also known as Teyuna and Ciudad Perdida Spanish for “lost city”) is the archaeological site of an ancient city in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta of Colombia, within the jurisdiction of the city of Santa Marta. Buritaca-200 consists of a series of 169 terraces carved into the mountainside, a network of tiled roads, and several small circular plazas. The entrance can be accessed only by climbing up 1,200 stone steps through dense jungle.

Why does the name of the ancient city have the number 200 in its name? Because, according to Professor Alvaro Soto Holguin from the Colombian Institute of Anthropology, it is the two hundredth settlement located in the jungle so far and in total, over 2000 kilometers of roads and paths lined with stones are also already known. Buritaca 200 alone is ten times larger than the famous Inca fortress of Machu Picchu in Peru. Also according to Professor Holguin, it s concluded that Buritaca 200 was built around 800 AD, based on previous dating using the radioactive carbon isotope C-14.

In his Book “Strategie der Götter”, Erich von Däniken writes: “… In the fall of 1940, treasure hunter and amateur archaeologist Florentino Sepulveda met an old man from the Kogi tribe in a quiet bay on the Caribbean Sea, only 20 kilometers from Santa Marta. In conversation, the old man, who lived completely under the spell of the legends of his ancestors, confided in him that there were large cities and endless roads in the immediate vicinity that had once been laid out by the Tairona…” and “… The first person to scientifically study the Kagaba-Kogi and report on them in detail was Professor Theodor Preuss. He found out that the Kagaba-Kogi derived their ancient laws from four primordial priests who had descended from heaven long before the flood. These primordial teachers had their home in outer space: all laws reached the Kagaba- Kogi “from without.” Every time these heavenly teachers descended to earth, they wore masks. They could not take off their faces…”

Many questions surround the ancient city of Buritaca-200. How could such an ancient culture build such impressive and gigantic cities in the jungle? Who were the Tairona, who, according to the Kogi Indians, originally built the ancient city, and who were these mysterious celestial teachers who wore masks and could not remove their faces?
