Summary Report:

The Ark of the Covenant, also known as the Ark of the Testimony or the Ark of God, is a legendary artifact believed to be the most sacred relic of the Israelites, which is described as a wooden chest, covered in pure gold, with an elaborately designed lid called the mercy seat. According to the Book of Exodus, the Ark contained the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. According to the New Testament Book of Hebrews, it also contained Aarons rod and a pot of manna.

Where is the Ark of the Covenant? By Erich von Däniken

The God of the Bible gave his servant Moses instructions to build an ark. You can read about it in the 2nd Book of Moses from chapter 25, where it also says: “And take care that you make everything exactly according to the model that is to be shown to you on the mountain.” So there was an original, the model, and a copy made by Moses.

But the ark was dangerous. Only specially trained priests, the Levites, were allowed to operate it. In connection with it, several deaths are recorded in ancient Jewish literature. After many aberrations, the Ark of the Covenant arrived in the Temple of Jerusalem. There it was stolen by a son of King Solomon, and taken to Ethiopia in a flying chariot. In faraway Ethiopia, the Queen of Sheba ruled, and she had an intimate relationship with Solomon. All this can be read in the Ethiopians Book of the Kings: Kebra Nagast.

When also in Ethiopia 3000 soldiers died because they came too close to the Ark of the Covenant, the Queen of Sheba had the Ark buried deep in the ground. Today, the Chapel of Mary in the city of Axum stands on the same spot. (Coptic Church) Ethiopian tradition reports that the contents of the Ark were divine and not made by human hands. It would be time to open the lid again and find out more about its origin.

As the Ark of the Covenant is still missing, most of the research is focused on finding it. Also there are many other questions surrounding the Ark of the Covenant like how did the ancient Israelites came into possession of the Ark of the Covenant? Was it built by Moses himself or was the technology explained or even handed over to him by God or an extraterrestrial being?
