Summary Report:
In 2014 Erich von Däniken and other organisations received an anonymous letter with a video from a Coast Guard Crew in Puerto Rico, near Rafael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla. Excerpt from the anonymous letter: “… On April 25, 2013 at 2122 Local/April 26, 2013 0122Z a Customs and Border Protection Caribbean Air and Marine Branch DHC8 maritime patrol aircraft was on a routine patrol when it encountered a UFO immediately after takeoff. The object was spotted visually by the Captain of the aircraft, and the Aguadilla control tower operator. It appeared to have a strange red light. The Customs and Border Protection crew thought the aircraft might be a smuggler so they began to follow the UFO, and record a IR video. The UFO circled the Aguadilla airport and made its way to the ocean. Initially the UFO appears as a forward flying horseshoe, then as it makes its way to the ocean, it changes its configuration to a more spherical shape. The UFO skims on top of the ocean, and submerges, unaffected by the hydrodynamic forces…”. (See Sources Section “The Black Vault” to read the whole anonymous letter).
Erich von Däniken wrote about the incident in his Book “Was ich seit Jahrzehnten verschwieg: “… On April 26, 2013, an unidentified object appeared on the radar of a U.S. Border Patrol aircraft. This happened at 1:22 a.m. over Puerto Rico. In agreement with the Puerto Rican authorities, the U.S. conduct reconnaissance flights against drug smugglers there. Permanently installed in the cockpit of the U.S. aircraft is also a camera that records all flight movements and simultaneously displays all data in “real time”. All this data is updated and displayed every tenth of a second. They are an integral part of the recordings from the cockpit. The pilot cannot change any of it. The black object first appeared to the right of the crosshairs of the targeting optics. The pilot caught it again, tracked it, lost it briefly and caught it again. One almost got the impression that the UFO wished to be filmed, because as soon as its speed became too high, it changed shape and slowed down. The UFO flew over meadows and fields, then over Rafael Hernandez Airport TJBQ near Aguadilla, which was immediately closed to takeoffs and landings. The object sped over two ships of the seaport and then directly into the waters of the Pacific Ocean. The spraying fountains again testified to the material nature of the UFO. A second later, two objects emerged from the water. I make the pictures public here and do not doubt that the sectarians of the truth delusion will conjure a gigantic fake from it. Or they keep silent about it. Because the ingenious physicist and Nobel laureate Max Planck had already known: Each serious realization runs through three phases: 1. everybody is against it. 2. everybody keeps silently ashamed. 3. everyone shouts: Thats what weve always said!…”.
More and more photos and videos of UFO sightings are appearing and although many of them could definitely be debunked as fakes, there are a certain number of sightings that are classified as real and that cannot be dismissed with conventional explanations.
There are still many questions regarding UFOs (today called UAPs, Unidentified Aerial Phenomenons). What are these strange objects in the sky? Where do they come from? Who pilots them? Why can they do maneuvers that seem to defy physics?
