Summary Report:

The Red Pyramid owes its name to the reddish color of the rock from which its now unclad core was built. The Pyramid is about as high and almost as old as the kink pyramid two kilometers to the south. After this south pyramid in Dahshur – and after the step pyramid in Meidum – the north pyramid was the third large pyramid, which was established for the Pharaoh Snofru. The Red Pyramid is the third largest of all ancient Egyptian pyramids and surpasses even the Pyramid of Khafre in its base dimensions. The Red Pyramid is generally considered to be Snofrus most likely burial site, but this cannot be clarified with certainty, as no stone sarcophagus has been found in any of the three great pyramids attributed to Snofru.

In his book “Der Mittelmeerraum und seine mysteriöse Vorzeit”, Erich von Däniken describes some of his most interesting observations concerning the red pyramid: “… Pharaoh Snofru (2575-2551 B.C.) had, among other things, built the red pyramid in Dashur. From the outside it looks like a pile of rubble but inside you can still find a “great gallery”. With granite blocks arranged on top of each other like the pyramid of his famous son Cheops. Again, no razor blade fits in the spaces between the stone beams. Every cut is perfect. Heavens again – Snofru came before Cheops, and straight from the Stone Age. His builders demonstrated a “great gallery” even before Cheops. From which magic workshop then came the knowledge, the planning and the technique of the “stone age man” Snofru? Where is the history of the development of the technology, if already the father of Cheops practiced what the architects of his son allegedly developed as the first ones? … In addition, the red pyramid shows signs of weathering, as if the structure had been standing in water for decades. Experts assure us that the stones have been worn down over thousands of years by the wind blowing sand crystals. But the wind blows stronger from certain directions than from others. The erosion traces should be different depending on the pyramid surface. But they are not. Anyone poking around on the pyramid plateau will notice layers of rock with different deposits. One cant get rid of the impression that water has been standing here at some time. This concerns walls and rock sections, which tourists never get to see, but also ramps. Especially visible in the “Valley of the Crows” below the pyramids, but also on the route up to the Chefren pyramid. Water rings are also visible at the so-called “4th pyramid”, which is not accessible to tourists…”.

Something doesnt quite seem to add up about the official explanations. Where did the technology come from to build the red pyramid including the large gallery if Snofru supposedly came directly from the Stone Age? Why do there seem to be traces of water erosion in many places in Dashur? A similar story exists for the Sphinx where the geologist Robert M. Schoch could also prove water erosion traces and thus dated the Sphinx to an age of more than 10000 years.
