Summary Report:

Chandra, god on the moon, married 27 daughters of the earth woman Daksha. But he loved only the Rohini. The children descended from this couple are called “Children of the Moon” and form a famous ruling family.

The Indian Lunar Exploration Program Chandrayaan was named after Chandra; candrayana means “lunar vehicle” in Sanskrit. The program includes a lunar orbiter and future lander and rover vehicles. Something in spaceflight has also been named after Rohini: Indian Space Research Organization rockets. The series of rockets was designated with the letters RH for Rohini.

Part 1.: Africa, Polynesia, etc…

But Africa is also represented:
To the African Maasai, a modern-day visit to the moon seems quite natural, because astronautical ventures of this kind are familiar to them from their own sagas and legends.

The Dogon (an interesting tribe in Mali, they know the orbits of Sirius A and B, whereby these are not visible, but were calculated only today) knew that the moon was dry and dead. (Robert Temple: The Sirius enigma. Neustadt 1977)

Here two more examples from Polynesia
Picture 83
Samoa: The two boys Purifanga and Tafalin are said to have visited the moon. Purifanga simply climbed up a tree, while Tafalin was carried up “by the smoke of a mighty fire”. The inhabitants of the Samoa islands knew a place lying on a high mountain which they called “Ascent to heaven”; there stood the tree Toamarama = “tree of the moon”. (Kohlenberg, Karl F.: Enträtselte Vorzeit. Munich, Vienna 1970)
Tahiti: Hina lived together with her brother Ru. Together they explored the universe until they found the moon and Hina wished to stay there forever. (Sarah Bartlett: The Mythology Bible. New York 2009)
Borneo: (Island in the Malay Archipelago):
There the Ngadju-Dajak knew a “Lord of the Moon,” the sky man Djangga, who married an earth woman. Before his son Silai was born, he disappeared again in the sky. Later, his son is said to have visited him up there on the moon and stayed for a few years. Silai supposedly came up there with the “King of Ravens”, who flew him there in three days. Silai was dropped off in a lunar city. Later he returned to earth loaded with gifts.
(Hans Schärer: The God Idea of the Ngadju Dajak in South Borneo. Leiden 1946)
And another moon story was known on South Borneo: The ruler of Himmelland on the moon had a palace built for his daughter up there. The daughter could see from there everything on Himmelland as well as on earth. (via monitors?) When she visited the earth again, she did not succeed to fly back to the moon and she had to stay with us. (Rinne, Olga: The lost sky. Darmstadt, Neuwied 1985)

So far the ancient literature and traditions.

Part 2.: Switch to todays moon pictures and Selina-Mars stuff)
By our contemporary space technology like probes or telescopes, the celestial bodies in our solar system and beyond are literally scanned. Through this research, more and more anomalies and structures are found, which can no longer be dismissed with a natural explanation. But if it was not us, who else? Astronaut gods or earth visitors thousands of years ago?
I will show you simply once a few pictures, so that you can make yourselves a picture:
