Summary Report:

Lets start with the beginnings of pre-astronautics, with Matest M. Agrest at Baalbek, the great-grandfather of paleo-SETI. The temple Baalbek possesses gigantic over 1000 tons heavy monoliths, on which the Romans later built their temples on it. Macrobius Ambrosius Theodosius a Roman scholar (about 400 AD), attributed this phenomenal work to the Egyptians or Assyrians. The temples at Baalbek were built by the Romans and the Greek, but the basement where the temples were built on is much older. The basement is made of processed stones, measuring up to 20 meters in length, 4.50 meters in height and 4 meters in width and up to 2000 tons of weight, which makes them belonging probably to the heaviest megalithic structures in the world. The forgotten stone, as it has been named, weighs 1650 tons. Science still does not know how these stones, which make up the foundation of the Roman temple complex, were transported.

Again Ockhams razor comes into play. In comparison, the Vatican obelisk weighs a ridiculous 320 tons, which was erected with winches, 900 workers and 150 horses. Scientiest derive now, because it is the most simple way to conclude after Occams razor philosophy used in science, that they have achieved this the same way in Baalbek. From my point of view, one cannot speak of scientific investigation and research here. No empirically verifiable research was ever completed in such a contexts. Remark: Physics and mathematics professor Matest M. Agrest has put forward the thesis that the foundations in Baalbek were built as a launching pad and or landing ramp for extraterrestrial space ships. Today you can take a beautiful virtual walk through Baalbek with virtual reality glasses or on your PC or cell phone with Google Streetview.

In the classic documentary “Chariots of the Gods” (1973) of Dr. Erich von Däniken its narrated that no scientific explanation exists how these stones were made and transported. It is said that the Russian scientist Dr. Matest (1915-2005) claims the basement was used as a launch site for extra terrestrian space ships.

The Belarusian-American natural scientist Dr. Matest M. Agrest (1915-2005) is one of the academic pioneers of pre-astronautics or paleo-SETI research. He graduated in 1938 from Leningrad State University (now Saint Petersburg State University), where he received a PhD in formal science, physics and mathematics in 1946. In 1970, he became head of the university laboratory there. With his writings Matest M. Agrest undoubtedly belonged to the most important pioneers of later representatives of paleo-SETI research, such as Peter Krassa, Robert Charroux and Erich von Däniken. He is famous as the doyen of the ancient astronaut theory in the field of Palaeo-SETI.

It is stunning to look at the basement of Baalbek and also unreal if considered how the ancient people should have built such a incredible huge baseplate, because today sophisticated heavy duty machinery would be required, as well as intelligent engineering skills. How were they capable to achieve this labor? A highly academic scientist does claim this site was used as an extra terrestrial launch site which may sound mind-boggling and makes this entire site a great mystery.
